Recharging life. By restoring cellular energy

Cellergy is pioneering the large-scale production of intact, functional mitochondria in its mission to transform human health.

01The company

Revolutionizing regenerative medicine

Cellergy is producing mitochondria in large quantity from human primary sources: fully matched, allogeneic and purified, delivered by IV for systemic, repeated administration in major indications such as CNS disorders, muscle degeneration and aging.

  1. 01

    Human primary source

Non-transformed primary cells with excellent respiration capacity.

  2. 02

    Fully matched, allogeneic

Young, healthy donor mitochondria, matched to each recipient.

  3. 03

    Systemic and repeatable

Given by intravenous infusion, so it can reach the whole body, and be given again.

02Why mitochondria

The cell’s powerhouse

Mitochondria turn the fuel from food into ATP, the energy that protein synthesis, DNA repair, muscle contraction and waste removal all run on. It is critical to every function of the cell.

03The problem

When energy fails

Degenerative diseases, and aging, often start with damage to mitochondria.

  1. 01

    Mutations accumulate.

Errors build up in mitochondrial DNA, in the very genes that code for the machinery making the cell’s energy.

  2. 02

    Membranes oxidize.

The membrane lipids get oxidized, damaging the folded inner membrane where ATP is made.

  3. 03

    Energy runs out.

Once energy production is depleted, the cell starts to degenerate. Across a tissue, that is disease. Across a body, it is aging.

  4. 04

    Recharge.

Cellergy’s answer is to replace the power supply itself: young, healthy mitochondria, delivered by IV, to energize cells again.

04The platform

Source is everything

Mitochondria source is the key to making an effective therapy. Cellergy’s is proprietary, and so is the process that turns it into medicine.

03Allogeneic matching

Donors

Recipient

Matched by machine learning.

Transplanting mitochondria from a young, healthy donor into an aging or degenerative recipient requires careful matching. Our machine-learning model predicts donor–recipient matching, to make allogeneic mitochondrial transplantation safe and effective.

From donor to patient

  1. 01

    Source.

Primary, non-transformed cells from young, healthy donors.

  2. 02

    Expand.

Source cells expanded massively, in a cost-efficient process.

  3. 03

    Purify.

Intact, functional mitochondria isolated to GMP grade.

  4. 04

    Match.

The machine-learning model pairs donor and recipient.

  5. 05

    Infuse.

    Delivered intravenously, systemically and repeatably.

The result

Young, healthy mitochondria, energizing the recipient’s cells.
